’95 reall was a great year. I was a sophmore at Renton High. I went to Hawaii that summer for the first time and Nomo-mania was all over the place. Every window in every store had a poster of him.

As fundraisers for both the basketball team and baseball team, we worked concessions at M’s games. The first for hoops was the final series against the Angels and then for baseball we worked a playoff game against the Indians. Hardest work I have ever done in my life.

Nothing competes with Edgar’s double though. I don’t think I have ever jumped that high in my life. I still get choked up when I see the highlight.

my dad pulled me out of school when i was in 4th grade to take me to see “the double.” will be eternally grateful.

also should mention the shoes shawn kemp wore in ’95 – reebok’s kemp kamikaze – really serious business.

I, too, was at The Double game. I was only seven, but I still remember it pretty vividly. One of the greatest moments of my life.
