Skip Bayless gets taken down a peg…and it’s glorious

skipbaylessIf you’ve ever wanted to hear Skip Bayless get ripped to shreds, click the above link, sit back, crack a beverage, and enjoy.

Bayless appeared on a Philadelphia sports radio station Tuesday afternoon and immediately realized he had walked into a trap.

The show’s host, Mike Misanelli (Google him), invited Bayless on to discuss an off-handed remark he had made on ESPN’s First Take regarding Philadelphia sports fans. Misanelli took offense to the comment and immediately let Bayless know his stance on the issue, challenging the TV journalist to “spar,” before ultimately mocking him and asking him not to cry.

Despite the fact that Misanelli takes a pretty hard stance on an otherwise meaningless issue, he still comes off looking like the good guy (or at least the lesser of two evils) when Bayless tells him he wouldn’t be worthy of First Take and attempts to make a half-hearted stab at Misanelli’s career path.

Though Bayless goes on to have significant trouble answering the few logical questions that Misanelli tosses his way, he never hesitates to let his ego get the best of him. Confessing that he doesn’t know Misanelli’s last name, Skip comes off looking like a self-centered bully having the tables turned on him by the end of the conversation.

In all, it’s pretty much the most awesome thing I’ve ever heard.

Mayo was Floyd’s high-class whore

Assume the position.

Everything about the OJ Mayo-Tim Floyd saga comes across as dirty.

Here’s Mayo, sometime in 2006, contacting Floyd unexpectedly, telling the USC basketball coach he wants to play for the Trojans. The risk: Mayo is likely gone after one year (which happened to be the case). The reward: Mayo has the potential to give Floyd a run at the national title in that sole season (USC made the NCAA Tournament, but couldn’t escape the opening round).

Now here’s OJ Mayo at a preseason practice in 2007, breaking the jaw of starting point guard Daniel Hackett with a well-located punch to the chops.
