Brazilian Soccer Coach Likely Kills Oscar Award-Winning Player

A crazy, old Brazilian man committed the cardinal sin of soccer when he made body contact with an opposing team’s player earlier this week. He also punched a referee in the face, but we’ll get to that later.

The old man, who also serves as the coach of one of the two teams, went berserk after something occurred that really made him mad. Perhaps a Portuguese-speaking, soccer-loving, Crazy Old Man Whisperer knows exactly what that something was.

The Perpetual Black Eye Is Headed To Michigan

gregpaulusOnly Greg Paulus would be willing to stay in college one more year to touch a guy’s ass.

At least that’s what the former Duke point guard hopes to do in transferring to Michigan for his fifth and final year of NCAA eligibility.

Paulus and his trademark black eye intend to compete for the Wolverines’ open quarterback job, where head football coach Rich Rodriguez has assembled a mish-mash crew of borderline talent.

Your 2009 Seattle Mariners are off to a scorching hot 7-2 start, and you’re not sure whether to jump on the bandwagon just yet. We can understand that. This team, and this city as a whole, have let you down many times before, and it’s not easy to just up and believe like that.

But we have that optimism, and not only are we on the ’09 Mariners wagon, we’re in the driver’s seat pumping Naughty By Nature’s “Hip-Hop Hooray” as we roll down Royal Brougham with our windows open. It’s a party and we’re here to have fun, which is why we’ll give you 11 reasons why it is, in fact, cool to believe in these M’s.

Cameron Dollar reportedly hired as new Seattle U. basketball coach

camerondollarCongratulations to Cameron Dollar, who has been reported as the new head basketball coach at Seattle University.

Dollar has been an assistant at UW since 2002, when head coach Lorenzo Romar first took the reins of the Husky Basketball program. Prior to that, the former UCLA point guard assisted under Romar at Saint Louis University, and even spent one year as a head coach at Southern California College during the 1998-1999 season.

Dollar has been mentioned in connection with numerous head coaching vacancies over the years, most recently Portland State, Washington State, and even Oregon State.
